On Sunday, after breakfast, hike through the stunning Slot Canyon before heading to the charming town of Julian for lunch and local craft beer. This all-inclusive adventure offers the perfect blend of hiking, camping, and relaxation in one of California’s most beautiful desert landscapes.

Anza-Borrego Desert Adventure Itinerary
Saturday:
8:00 AM: Departure from San Diego (Scripps Park & Ride)
Begin the 2-hour drive to Anza-Borrego Desert State Park.
10:00 - 10:30 AM: Arrival at Borrego Palm Canyon Trail.
Start the hike on this iconic 3-mile trail. The hike should take 2-3 hours, featuring breathtaking desert landscapes and the chance to spot bighorn sheep.
1:00 PM: Head to Campground & Set Up Camp.
Arrive at the campsite, set up tents, and relax. Lunch will be served at the campsite
5:30 PM: Dinner & Evening Relaxation.
Enjoy a hearty dinner at the campsite, then relax by the campfire, stargazing in the vast desert sky.
Sunday:
7:00 AM: Breakfast & Relaxation at Camp.
Start the day with a full breakfast and coffee. Enjoy some time at the campground before packing up.
11:00 AM: Pack Up & Depart from the Campground.
After breakfast and some relaxation, pack up the campsite and get ready to head to the next destination.
12:00 PM: Slot Canyon Trail Hike.
Head to the Slot Canyon Trail for a 1-2 hour hike through narrow, winding rock formations.
2:00 PM: Lunch & Beer in Julian.
After completing the hike, stop in Julian for a relaxing lunch and some local beer.
4:00 PM: Departure from Julian.
Begin the drive back to San Diego.
6:00 PM: Arrive at Scripps Park & Ride.
Return to the original meeting spot, wrapping up the weekend adventure.
